Match Overview
AEW Collision 4/16/26 was taped following the April 15 AEW Dynamite broadcast, also live from the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington, delivering an action-packed episode as part of the Spring BreakThru special programming week. Adam Copeland opened the show with a passionate promo, sporting a visible injury from his recent clash with FTR, making it clear that his rivalry with Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood is far from finished. His address was quickly interrupted as FTR appeared to distract him, allowing Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero to launch a surprise attack on Copeland from behind. The Young Bucks immediately rushed to the ring to make the save and prevent further damage. Backstage, Jack Perry cut a fired-up promo challenging any member of the Don Callis Family to face him the following week in Portland.
The Young Bucks picked up a dominant victory over The Rascalz, Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz, delivering the TK Driver on Wentz to secure the win. However, the celebration was short-lived as The Dogs, the team of David Finlay and Karl Connors, stormed the ring and attacked both teams immediately after the bout. Connors seized the microphone and delivered a chilling warning to the entire tag team division, making it clear that nobody was safe from their destructive intentions. The Conglomeration secured an impressive victory over Lethal Twist, the trio of Christian Cage, Lee Johnson, and Jay Lethal, in a Six-Man Tag Team title eliminator match. Kyle O’Reilly applied the ankle lock to Lee Johnson and forced the submission to earn the win for his team. In a backstage segment, The Opps gathered to discuss the future of Anthony Bowens within the group, with a final decision on his membership set to be revealed the following week.
Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida teamed up to defeat Big Anne and Danika Della Rouge, with Statlander securing the pinfall victory. Jon Moxley picked up a strong Continental Championship eliminator victory over Nick Wayne in an entertaining contest that ran approximately sixteen minutes. Moxley gave the hometown competitor considerable offense throughout the match and was busted open during the bout before ultimately putting Wayne away with the Death Rider. In a notable backstage interview, Don Callis offered to pull Kazuchika Okada from his upcoming match, but Okada firmly refused, stating his desire to compete and emphasizing that he remains a champion unlike his former associate Konosuke Takeshita.
