All Japan Pro Wrestling kicks off 2021 in style with the first night of New Year Wars 2021, taking place on January 2nd, 2021, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. This action-packed event delivers a stacked card featuring multiple tag-team bouts, a battle royal, and a massive championship main event carrying enormous stakes for the entire promotion.

The most anticipated match of the evening is undoubtedly the AJPW World Tag Team Championship contest between the Violent Giants, Shuji Ishikawa and Suwama, and the challenging team of NEXTREAM, Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi. Adding enormous drama to the bout, the Violent Giants have stated that if they lose to NEXTREAM, they will disband as a team, making this one of the highest-stakes tag team matches in recent AJPW history.
